Cecilian Music was founded in 1998 as the publishing company for the music of London-based international composers Kenneth Hesketh and Arlene Sierra. Cecilian Music’s catalogue includes some of the most highly acclaimed and respected new works in the British and American contemporary music scenes. Encompassing all areas of classical music, from works for solos through works for orchestras and opera, Cecilian Music is a boutique source for critically acclaimed and influential new music. Over the years Cecilian Music has developed a close relationship with resellers Harrassowitz Verlag in Germany, Theodore Front in the United States, and numerous other vendors, selling to individuals, organisations and library services and subscription agents in Europe and around the world. As independent publishers, we have been pleased to supply materials for hire to some of the world’s leading orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Seattle Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic.
