London, Feb 13, 2025: global music publishers Boosey & Hawkes, Wise Music Group and Universal Music Publishing, and the leading sheet music subscription app, nkoda, are joining forces to develop a new centralised licensing and hire library management platform - Kordl - that will transform how customers access rental catalogues, and reshape how music publishers satisfy the evolving needs of their customers.
This collaboration will create a single, streamlined gateway to some of the world’s most prestigious rental catalogues. By combining simple back-end systems with an intuitive customer interface, Kordl will enable musicians and publishers to optimise the logistics of licensing and supplying performance materials.
The system is being designed to replace legacy platforms, simplifying the ordering and account management process, and offering multiple new features. Above all, Kordl will focus on enhancing the overall user experience - the design and development of the platform will be informed by regular inputs from music librarians and planners.
