More about William Walton
Sir William Turner Walton OM (29 March 1902 – 8 March 1983) was an English composer known for his work in various classical genres and styles, such as Façade, Belshazzar's Feast, and the Viola Concerto. His legacy includes the British coronation marches Crown Imperial and Orb and Sceptre. Walton was born in Oldham, Lancashire, into a musical family and displayed his musical talents early.
