Torsten Rasch

Torsten Rasch (born in 1965 in Dresden) is a German contemporary classical music composer, currently residing in Berlin. Having started his musical training early on with piano lessons at six and membership in the Dresdner Kreuzchor, he later pursued composition and piano studies. His career path took him from Germany to Japan, then towards notable successes in the UK with commissions from various orchestras and collaborations such as with the Pet Shop Boys. His works have been critically acclaimed and include orchestral pieces, operas, and film music.
