Tim Rice

English lyricist and author Tim Rice, born on November 10th, 1944, is most renowned for his collaborative works with Andrew Lloyd Webber, ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, Elton John, and Disney. His notable contributions include 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', 'Jesus Christ Superstar', 'Evita', 'Chess', 'Aida', 'Aladdin', and 'The Lion King'. Knighted in 1994 for music services, Rice also boasts a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the distinction of being a recipient of all four major American entertainment awards: Emmy, Oscar, Grammy, and Tony.
