Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd, an English rock band, was founded in London in 1965 by Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright. Initially part of the psychedelic scene, they evolved into progressive rock titans. Barrett led their early successes but was replaced by David Gilmour due to health issues. Waters later shaped their sound, resulting in iconic albums like 'The Dark Side of the Moon' and 'The Wall.' The band split but reformed without Waters, releasing more albums and participating in notable performances, such as the 2005 Live 8. Barrett and Wright have passed away, and the remaining members last released 'The Endless River' in 2014. Pink Floyd, with record sales over 250 million, is celebrated for their influence on music and remains one of the best-selling artists.
