Philip Cashian, born in 1963, is an English composer and the Head of Composition at the Royal Academy of Music. He studied at Cardiff University and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His awards include the Britten Prize and the Mendelssohn Scholarship. He has collaborated with many leading ensembles and his music has been performed worldwide, including at the BBC Proms and Aldeburgh Festival.
