Olga Neuwirth (born 4 August 1968 in Graz) is an Austrian contemporary classical composer, visual artist and author, known for her operas and music theater works addressing political themes such as identity, violence, and intolerance. Neuwirth collaborated with Nobel laureate Elfriede Jelinek and gained recognition with her commissioned work for the steirischer herbst festival. Educated in Vienna, San Francisco, and Paris, Neuwirth's diverse artistic practice includes sound installations and film scores, with her opera 'Lost Highway' earning acclaim【31†source】【34†source】【37†source】【39†source】.
