Born on 23 November 1961 in Paris, Nicolas Bacri is a renowned French composer whose extensive oeuvre includes symphonies, string quartets, cantatas, operas, sonatas, and concertos. He embarked on his musical voyage with piano lessons at seven and further honed his skills in harmony, counterpoint, analysis, and composition with esteemed educators. A graduate of the Conservatoire de Paris with the premier prix in composition in 1983, he served as the Director of Chamber Music for Radio France and has been a prominent freelance composer, securing commissions from globally recognized institutions. Bacri has also imparted his knowledge through orchestration teaching at the Geneva Conservatory and masterclasses worldwide. His impactful presence in the contemporary classical music sphere has been acknowledged and celebrated by critics and contemporaries alike.
