Nickolas Ashford

Ashford & Simpson were an American husband-and-wife songwriting, production, and recording duo composed of Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson. Born in Fairfield, South Carolina, Nickolas Ashford became a prominent figure in the music industry after meeting Valerie Simpson at Harlem's White Rock Baptist Church in 1964. They wrote and produced a myriad of hit songs, including 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' and 'I'm Every Woman.'
