Mats Lidström, born in 1959, is a renowned Swedish cellist known for his versatility as a soloist, recording artist, chamber musician, composer, teacher, and publisher. He commenced his musical education with Maja Vogl, then furthered his studies at the Juilliard School under Leonard Rose. Lidström has collaborated with major orchestras worldwide and served as principal cellist in several prestigious ensembles.
