Mark-Anthony Turnage

Mark-Anthony Turnage CBE is an English composer of contemporary classical music, born on June 10, 1960. He displayed a talent for composition early, starting at the age of nine, and received formal music education at the Royal College of Music. He has been notably influenced by jazz, particularly by Miles Davis, and his compositions often integrate jazz elements. His notable works include several operas and orchestral pieces.
