Mack David

Mack David was an American lyricist and songwriter, known for his work in film and television. With a career spanning from the early 1940s to the early 1970s, he wrote lyrics or music for over a thousand songs. Notable works include his contributions to Disney's Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland, and the mostly-English lyrics for Édith Piaf's 'La Vie en rose'. He was the elder brother of lyricist Hal David and was posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1975.
