Libby Larsen

Elizabeth Brown Larsen, born December 24, 1950, is an eminent American classical composer. She co-founded the Minnesota Composers Forum, which evolved into the American Composers Forum. A distinguished resident composer for multiple orchestras, Larsen's music has been shaped by a myriad of American cultural influences, as well as a strong interest in the rhythm of language, infusing her compositions with rhythmic diversity and lyricism.
