He graduated in music theory from the Teacher’s Training College of the Academy of Music and completed his composition studies at the Academy of Music under Ferenc Farkas. He taught composition and music theory for ten years starting from 1968 at the Bartók Béla Conservatory in Miskolc. He has composed for many theatrical performances and has achieved international acclaim for his music, establishing a comprehensive system of string music pedagogy with his former chamber music partners that has reached around the globe. His works, spanning fifteen volumes, have been published by Warner in Helsinki. Rossa is a recipient of the 'Award for Dance Arts' in 2003.
