Jenő Takács was a Hungarian composer and pianist, born on 25 September 1902 in Cinfalva. He was a prominent figure in music, having made meaningful connections with notable contemporaries such as Béla Bartók. Takács studied at notable institutions in Vienna and extensively researched Arab and Egyptian music during his professorship in Cairo. His career included professorships in the Philippines and the United States, and his works were widely celebrated, particularly on his 100th birthday with numerous concerts. He passed away at 103 years old in Eisenstadt in 2005.
