Jacques Lancelot

Jacques Lancelot was a renowned French classical clarinetist, born in Rouen, France. He graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris in 1939. As an exponent of the French clarinet school, he was known for his clear and transparent sound. He served as a professor at the conservatoire of Rouen and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon. A solo performer and juror, he also contributed to the development of the Buffet Festival clarinet model and has a significant discography.
