Guy Garvey

Guy Edward John Garvey, born on 6 March 1974, is an acclaimed English musician, singer, and songwriter, renowned for his role as the lead singer and lyricist of the rock band Elbow. Raised in Bury, Greater Manchester, Garvey hails from a working-class, Catholic family and is one of seven siblings. Throughout his illustrious career, he has earned wide praise for his songwriting abilities, leading Elbow to receive prestigious accolades, including two Ivor Novello awards. In addition to his musical endeavors, Garvey is a presenter on BBC Radio 6 Music and has leveraged his talents across various multimedia projects.
