More about Frederick Delius
Frederick Delius, born Fritz Theodor Albert Delius, was an English composer known for his unique orchestration and use of chromatic harmony. Influenced by African-American music during his time in the U.S. and by European composers, he developed a style of his own. Despite facing critical attacks, his music found success, particularly after conductor Thomas Beecham started promoting it. Delius continued to compose even after becoming paralysed and blind, with the help of an amanuensis.
