Edward Gregson

Edward Gregson, born on 23 July 1945 in Sunderland, England, is a prominent English composer renowned for his instrumental and choral music, especially for brass and wind bands. His works also extend to music for theatre, film, and television. Apart from his achievements in composition, Gregson served as the principal of the Royal Northern College of Music. He dedicated himself to composition full-time after retiring from academic duties in 2008.
