Diana Ross

Diana Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer and actress. Lead singer of The Supremes, Ross became a defining act of the Motown era, with twelve number-one hit singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. She pursued a solo career post-1970, with hits like 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' and 'Endless Love'. Ross garnered acclaim as an actress, earning an Oscar nomination for 'Lady Sings the Blues'. With over 100 million records sold globally, she's received numerous awards, including a Special Tony Award, Kennedy Center Honors, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Ross was born in Detroit, raised Baptist in a family of six children.
