David Bednall

David Bednall is one of the leading choral composers of his generation, with an extensive freelance playing and conducting career. Organist of The University of Bristol and Sub-organist at Bristol Cathedral, he conducts The University Singers. He won prizes in Improvisation and Performance at the FRCO examination, has improvised on live radio, and performed widely in the UK and abroad. Bednall appeared as stunt-organist on 'Dr Who', and is distinguished for his compositions. His works have been broadcast on radio, commissioned by notable institutions, and his 40-part motet Lux orta est iusto featured at the Bristol Proms 2015. The premiere of Make We Merry marked another hallmark in his career`[1]`.
