More about Camille Saint-Saëns
French composer, organist, conductor and pianist Camille Saint-Saëns (9 October 1835 – 16 December 1921) was a child prodigy who made his concert debut at ten. Known for works like Danse macabre and The Carnival of the Animals, he had modern music influences but kept to classical traditions. Saint-Saëns was also a music scholar and had notable students, including Gabriel Fauré. Always a true Parisian, he was born, lived, and was well-regarded in Paris throughout his life.
