César-Auguste-Jean-Guillaume-Hubert Franck was a French Romantic composer, pianist, organist, and esteemed music teacher born on 10 December 1822 in Liège, present-day Belgium. Originally from a region that was part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands at his birth, he transitioned to France where he fostered a successful career. Franck became the organist at the Basilica of St. Clotilde in Paris in 1858 and was appointed a professor at the Paris Conservatoire in 1872. His compositions have become staples of the classical music repertoire and his influence extended to many students[23].
