More about Béla Bartók
Béla Viktor János Bartók was a Hungarian composer, pianist, and ethnomusicologist, and a prominent figure of 20th-century music. Bartók is regarded as one of Hungary's greatest composers, alongside Franz Liszt. He was an influential researcher on folk music, which he incorporated into his compositions, becoming one of the founders of ethnomusicology. Born in Nagyszentmiklós, Kingdom of Hungary, Bartók showed exceptional musical talent from a young age, and his works reflect a synthesis of folk music, classicism, and modernism.
