Anthony Fiumara (born in 1968, Tilburg) is a diverse figure in the music world, having pursued roles as a full-time composer, music journalist, radio program producer, lecturer, and artistic director for various organizations. He co-founded the Amsterdam Electric Festival and the indie-classical ensemble Lunapark, and also established Alaska Records. Fiumara's professorship in music composition at Tilburg's Academy of Music and Performance Arts reflects his significant contribution to contemporary music education. His composition style is dynamic, defined by vibrancy, layering, contrasts, and particularly by a repetitive nature that he likens to a 'canvas'. Fiumara's work aims for immediate and powerful expression, engaging the audience on a visceral level. He is a sought-after orchestrator, having worked with notable musicians and arranged for seminal composers and popular artists.
