Annick Chartreux is a French composer and pedagogue, born on November 26, 1942, in Nancy into a family of artists. She started her musical education at the Conservatory of Nancy, winning a first prize for piano in 1955 and chamber music in 1957. Chartreux taught from 1966 and was an associate professor of music education and choral singing until 2004 at the Lycée Paris Claude-Monet, training many artists. She is an officer of the Order of Academic Palms and silver medalist of the academic society Arts Sciences Letters.
