Amy Winehouse

Amy Jade Winehouse was a renowned English singer and songwriter known for her deep, expressive contralto vocals and eclectic mix of musical genres, including soul, rhythm and blues, and jazz. Born on 14 September 1983 in Enfield, London, she grew up in a family with deep musical roots. Her debut album 'Frank' was critically acclaimed, and her follow-up album 'Back to Black' led to international fame, earning her numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards. Struggling with substance abuse and addiction, Winehouse's life was tragically cut short when she died of alcohol poisoning on 23 July 2011.
