Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MBE, known mononymously as Adele, is an English singer-songwriter with a mezzo-soprano vocal range. Born on 5 May 1988 in Tottenham, London, she was raised by her English mother after her Welsh father left. Adele began singing at age 4 and attended the BRIT School. Her debut album '19' was released in 2008. Her second album '21' is the best-selling album of the 21st century.
