Tarik Hamilton O'Regan is a British and American composer, born on 1 January 1978. With over 130 compositions and 47 recordings garnering two Grammy nominations and two British Composer Awards, he has an impressive body of work. Educated at Pembroke College, Oxford, O'Regan's music intertwines Renaissance vocal writing, North African influences, British rock of the 60s and 70s, jazz, and minimalist music. His complex rhythmic compositions use diverse tonal structures.
