Sheila Mary Nelson was an English musician, music educator, writer, and composer. She played with prominent orchestras like the English Chamber Orchestra and was best known as a violin and viola teacher. Her educational contributions included studying at the Royal College of Music, a B.Mus degree from London University, as well as further education in Birmingham and Denmark. Notable for her work in the United States and the Tower Hamlets Project in London, her methods influenced strings and piano education. An accomplished author, Nelson also received Honorary Membership at the Royal Academy of Music.
