Nathan Jordison

Nathan Jonas Jordison, known as Joey Jordison, was an American musician, best known as the original drummer and co-founder of the nu-metal band Slipknot. Born on April 26, 1975, in Des Moines, Iowa, he was designated #1 within the band. Jordison's career with Slipknot was prolific, contributing to their first four studio albums and producing the live album 9.0: Live. After departing from Slipknot in 2013, he continued to make music, founding and performing in several bands including Scar the Martyr, and later, Sinsaenum. Jordison's influence on metal music is widely recognized, and he remained active in the music industry until his death on July 26, 2021.
