Matthew Martin is a British composer known for his significant contributions to liturgical music. As Precentor and Director of College Music at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, he has a distinguished background in music education, having studied at Oxford University and The Royal Academy of Music. His works have been commissioned by prominent ensembles including The Tallis Scholars, Westminster Abbey, and St Paul's Cathedral. Martin won the Liturgical category at the 2013 British Composer Awards. Recent notable works include a festival anthem for Westminster Abbey's 750th anniversary and a test piece for the 2019 St Albans International Organ Competition.
