John Fogerty

John Cameron Fogerty, born May 28, 1945, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He founded the band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), serving as the lead singer, lead guitarist, and principal songwriter. The band had numerous hits and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. After CCR disbanded in 1972, Fogerty pursued a successful solo career, appearing on Rolling Stone lists of Greatest Songwriters and Greatest Singers. His well-known songs include 'Proud Mary', 'Bad Moon Rising', and 'Fortunate Son'.
