Harry Warren, born Salvatore Antonio Guaragna on December 24, 1893, was an American composer and pivotal figure in film music. As the first significant American songwriter for film, he crafted over 800 songs across six decades, with more than 300 featured in films. Notable for hits like 'Lullaby of Broadway', 'You'll Never Know', and 'Chattanooga Choo Choo', Warren won three Oscars and shaped the sound of early musicals. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York and spent his career collaborating with top lyricists and studios, leaving an indelible mark on American music.
